Sabrina J. Dueck

Ambassador (University of Calgary), Season 8

Host, Season 7 & 8

Sabrina is originally from Manitoba, but grew up in Red Deer, Alberta, where she obtained a Legal Assistant Diploma before heading back to Manitoba for an undergraduate degree in Criminology. During her diploma, she decided that she wanted to go to law school and become a criminal lawyer; that influenced her decision to study criminology, which she absolutely loved. Sabrina also worked as a legal assistant summer student with the Specialized Prosecutions Branch in Calgary during the summer of 2017, which is when she set her mind on Crown prosecutions as a career.

Now a law student at the University of Calgary, Sabrina hopes to continue doing research in what interests her most: the criminal justice system in Canada and its needs for improvement. She hopes to bring this research into her career and influence future improvements of the system. Sabrina is very excited to be a part of The Law School Show because not only will the research and discussions with legal professionals help her get through law school, but the podcast will enable her to share her passions with fellow law students — and help her help others share their passions with our listeners.
